VIRTUAL TOUR: The Day of the Duchess by Sarah MacLean

The one woman he will never forget…

Malcolm Bevingstoke, Duke of Haven, has lived the last three years in self-imposed solitude, paying the price for a mistake he can never reverse and a love he lost forever. The dukedom does not wait, however, and Haven requires an heir, which means he must find himself a wife by summer’s end. There is only one problem—he already has one.

The one man she will never forgive…

After years in exile, Seraphina, Duchess of Haven, returns to London with a single goal—to reclaim the life she left and find happiness, unencumbered by the man who broke her heart. Haven offers her a deal; Sera can have her freedom, just as soon as she finds her replacement…which requires her to spend the summer in close quarters with the husband she does not want, but somehow cannot resist.

A love that neither can deny…

The duke has a single summer to woo his wife and convince her that, despite their broken past, he can give her forever, making every day...

5 out of 5 stars

If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. This book was an absolutely perfect historical romance! I loved everything about this book especially the fact that this book focused on a husband and wife reuniting after being apart. Those types of stories are always my favorite kind of second chance romance and this book was the best example of it that I have ever read. The relationship between Mal and Sera was everything! I love all the back and forth between them, but I also loved that the author never made us doubt that they loved each other. Even with all the misunderstandings between them you could tell that these two really loved each other and that is what made everything that was happening between them thanks to their parents' meddling all the more intense and heartbreaking. But as intense and heartbreaking as this book could be, it was also quite humorous and very sweet. All of that combined with some great, compelling characters made this book an amazing read. Needless to say, I really recommend this book!
