4 out of 5 stars

This book was simply wonderful. It was really nice to return to the Checkerberry Inn and see Miles get his chance at love. He was one of my favorite characters in the previous book, so I was so happy he was this book's hero and he didn't disappoint. I loved him. I also really loved Steph. She was a great heroine and the perfect match for Miles. I especially loved that they had history because it made the romance more satisfying because their love story felt like it was a long time coming. Seriously, when these two went from pretending to be in a relationship to actually being in a relationship I was like "FINALLY!" with how happy it made me. Aside from Miles, Steph, and their lovely romance, I also really liked other aspects of this story especially all the family interactions between Miles and his family and Steph and her family. It was all so nice and like with the first book in this series this book made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I loved it and I highly recommend it to lovers of sweet romances!

***MY REVIEW***

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5 out of 5 stars

This book was a perfect contemporary romance read. And when I say perfect I mean perfect. This book had everything I love in a romance with its independent heroine, swoon-worthy hero, both humorous and emotional moments, and of course just enough sexy times to keep me happy. Talking about its heroine, Avery was such a fun heroine. Her reactions to being out in nature and dealing with all the fishing stuff while she spent time with Sully was basically what would happen if I was in her position and that made everything extra funny. As for Sully, he was perfect with his gruffness. Avery summed him up perfectly when she refers to him as "lumberjack porn". Lol. On top of the great characters, the love story in this book was phenomenal. I really love romances that start with a pretend relationship, so the relationship in this book was a win for me especially with the added opposites attract aspect. Overall, I loved this book so much and since this is only the second book by this author I have read I can't wait to tackle her backlist hopefully in the near future.

4 out of 5 stars

Lessons in Gravity was a really good romantic story. All the rock climbing info kind of went over my head because I know absolutely nothing about that activity, but that didn't hinder my enjoyment of the overall story. I really loved all the characters. And I mean all of them, not just April and Josh, but the whole Walkabout crew. They all made this book a worthwhile read for me, but while I loved them all obviously I loved Josh the most. His character was a little bit difficult to like at the very beginning, but once he started to let April in he became a lot more likable and I eventually fell in love with his character. Aside from Josh, I really liked being in April's head. She was one of those straightforward heroines that are easy to like so experiencing everything through her eyes was really perfect.

Moving on, the romance in this book was a nice slow burn. I really liked the way that everything was built up from April admiring Josh from afar to them getting to know each other as friends to them eventually falling in love. It all felt so natural and that paired with everything these two go through while filming the documentary made their HEA very satisfying.

Overall, I really loved this book! It was a really good read and I can't wait to read more from this new author in the future.

This book was all types of adorable! Seriously, the entire time I was reading this book I had a big goofy smile on my face because of how adorable this book was. It was everything one needs in a holiday romance and then some. Rowan and Theo were such wonderful characters to read about and their love story was too cute for words. Everything from the hilarious way they met to the way they got to now each other to the swoon-worthy way that Theo declared his love at the end had me completely captivated. It was all fantastic and now I have an overwhelming urge to read more books with royal heroes because I need more heroes like Theo in my life. Also while this is the first book by Robin Bielman I have read, if her other books are half as adorable as this one, I'm gonna have to read her other books ASAP!

5 out of 5 stars

Baron, the second full-length book in Joanna Shupe's Knickerbocker Club series, was another great historical romance story from the always amazing Joanna Shupe. After reading Magnate earlier this year, I had some mixed feelings about Will, but with this book I really fell in love with his character. But as much as I loved Will, the real highlight for me in this book was Ava. From the moment the blurb for this book was released I was dying to meet Ava. How could I not be when her character was making a living pretending to be a Russian medium. I just knew that fact was going to lead to some good scandalous historical romance fun especially given how straight-laced Will is and I was not wrong. Seriously, the plot of this book was so much fun to follow as Will tried and failed to get Ava to do what he wanted. That paired with all the campaign drama, Will's not so trustworthy campaign manager and the people trying to blackmail Ava had me completely engrossed from start to finish. And of course we can't forget about the romance. The love story in this book was absolutely amazing. It was hot and emotionally satisfying. It was everything I need it to be and more! I loved this book to pieces and I can't recommend it enough.

Cover Reveal: Lucian Divine by Renee Carlino

Today I have the privilege of sharing the cover of Renee Carlino's upcoming book, Lucian Divine, which releases January 9, 2017!

Here's a little bit about the book:

“My guardian angel is a drunk.”

Evelyn Casey's life is at a standstill. She's in her mid-twenties, struggling with the dating scene in San Francisco. Nothing seems to be working out, and she’s starting to think that she’ll live out her days in her crummy apartment with her overbearing roommate, Brooklyn. It's absurd, but sometimes Evey longs for a guardian angel to show up and save the day.
And then he does. Seriously. His name is Lucian and he's a guardian angel, been on the job for two thousand years. His sudden presence in her life is both good—he's brilliant, witty, and warm—and bad—he's brilliant, witty, warm, and hot as ----. But as perfect as Lucian seems, he’s got problems of his own. He’s taken up drinking and he’s brazenly inserted himself into Evey’s life, going against the greatest cosmic law ever created.

For Evey, the rules are simple: You are not allowed to hook up with your guardian angel. But sometimes fulfilling your destiny requires a leap of faith, a confrontation with God.
Yes, God as in God.

Sweetly, Deeply, Absolutely was by far the best in Kira Archer's Sweet Love series! I'm quite impressed with how much this author made me love Jared because his character was my least favorite in the previous books in this series. The same goes for Jenny. I wasn't her biggest fan in the previous book, but in this book I absolutely loved her and Jared. It was lot of fun to be in their heads and get to see their relationship develop. And talking about their relationship everything about it was wonderful. From the way they met to them seeing each other in secret to both of them finally realizing that they were meant to be. It was all so much fun and just the right amount of sweet and a hint of steamy to make this novel completely satisfying.

4 out of 5 stars

The Right Kind of Guy was another wonderful addition to the What Happens in Vegas series! The story was a little ridiculous at times, but that is what I loved the most about it. It was a fun, lighthearted romance that made my weekend so much brighter, so I loved it. But with that said the characters could be a little infuriating at times, but that lead to a lot of humorous moments, so it didn't annoy me as much as it usually would. Getting back to the characters, Kelsey was an interesting character to follow and while I don't mind characters not believing in love in the beginning, I wish her reason for it was more compelling because in my opinion it was kind of a weak reason. As for Aaron, I really liked that he was the overbearing, overprotective brother type at the beginning because it made watching him completely get schooled by his sister all the more hilarious. And talking about Jasmine, she was my favorite character in this whole book, which is really saying something because I really thought she was nuts for like 75% of the book. But in the end she ended up being the smartest person in this book with how she manipulated both Kelsey and Aaron. Along with some really good characters the love story was fantastic. As I stated already both Kelsey and Aaron weren't the biggest believers in that HEAs happened in real life, so watching them fall in love as they ran around Vegas together trying to rein in Jas was extra satisfying. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I'm hoping to read some more by this author in the future.

5 out of 5 stars

It's been several days since I've finished reading this book and I still can't get over how great it was. The story was amazing in every way. First off, Braxton was perfect! Usually I can come up with at least one thing I don't like about a hero, but honestly nothing he did really bothered me. Even when he was mad at Cora for a short time towards the end I could understand his anger and couldn't bring myself to be upset with him. I also really loved Cora. She was such a great character and I loved how independent she was and that she didn't let her blindness stop her from going out and living her life. The romance in this book was phenomenal. It was one of those romances that is just so beautiful and heartfelt that it makes you believe in true love. Seriously, people, the way that Braxton and Cora were together was everything. And that scene at the end when he went after her to prove his love just made me swoon. On top of the great love story, I really loved all the other things going on this book. Getting to see how Zach and Sophie are getting on and the way that the author set up the next book in this series just complimented Braxton and Cora's love story so well and made this book a really satisfying contemporary romance! Overall, I loved this book and I have a feeling I'm going to get on people's nerves with how much I'm going to be recommending it.

5 out of 5 stars

This novella was everything! Seriously the most perfect historical romance novella I've ever read! First off, I loved that the main couple were the children of previous couples in this series. We got to see Stephen be born in the second book in this series, and here we get to see him as a full grown adult trying to find love and it kind of made me feel like a proud mama. That thought aside, I just really loved his character. There is nothing better in a romance than a scoundrel trying to reform himself. And Faith was an exceptional heroine. Like most of Harrington's other heroines she was a strong heroine and I loved that she didn't let others dictate her life. Moving on to the romance, I loved that while short and fast that the love story was well-developed and made me feel a whirlwind of emotions. As I already said it was perfect! Books like these are why Anna Harrington is my all-time favorite historical romance writer!

ARC Review: A Dangerously Sexy Secret by Stefanie London

Title: A Dangerously Sexy Secret

Author: Stefanie London

He believes he can trust Wren, but can he trust himself when he’s with her? And if she is keeping her own dangerous secrets, will he be able to walk away?

***MY REVIEW***

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5 out of 5 stars

A Dangerously Sexy Secret is definitely my favorite book by this author to date! It took me a little while to read it, but that was because I took the time to really savor this story. The story was everything I needed it to be. It was equal parts romantic and suspenseful with memorable characters you can't help but love. Wren was a little bit in over her head with what she was trying to do, but I really loved how much she cared and how committed she was to getting justice for her best friend. Then Rhys was the perfect overprotective alpha hero. It had been a while since I read a hero like him and his character made me realize just how much I missed this type of character.

The romance was absolutely wonderful. Wren and Rhys are complete opposites, but they fit so well together and I was rooting for them from the very first page. I also really loved the storyline involving the gallery and Wren's very suspicious boss. What her boss was hiding wasn't obvious, which I really liked because it kept me on the edge of my seat trying to find out what was going on. Anywho, back to the romance, I really loved how everything came together in the end for Rhys and Wren. It all just made me so happy and while I loved how things ended in this series I was sad to move on from them because I loved them too much!

ARC Review: Three Simple Words by A.J. Pine

Title: Three Simple Words

Author: A.J. Pine

Synopsis:

She’s holding out for a happy ever after.

Annie
I know where to find my happily ever after—between the pages of a romance novel. It’s why I sell books, why I blog about them, and why I’ll never get disappointed by love.

So what if my brother’s best friend from high school is now a bestselling author? Or that he just blew back into town on a Harley, filling out a pair of jeans like he never did before? Or that he’s agreed to do a signing at my bookstore on such short notice? Because despite all his adoring female fans, I kind of hated his book.

Wes
The last time I saw Annie Denning, she was a senior in high school, three years older than me and way out of my league. Now I’m her last-minute date to a wedding, and what started as a night of pure fun has turned into something more real than either of us anticipated.

Annie is my muse. When I’m with her, my writer’s block fades away, and the words finally flow.

The only problem? She wants the fairy tale—her very own happily ever after—and anyone who’s read my book knows the truth. I just don’t believe they exist.

***MY REVIEW***

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5 out of 5 stars

Three Simple Words was amazing! Seriously with each book A.J. Pine just keeps getting better and better. Annie and Wes's love story was everything I needed it to be and so much more. First off, I just really loved Annie. As a romance reader, it was impossible for me to not relate to her character. Then we have Wes. The fact that he was so insistent that true love and happily ever afters weren't real made watching him fall in love with Annie all the more exciting. And talking about the romance, I really loved how everything unfolded in this book. I'm usually not a fan of the heroine being other than the hero, but with Annie and Wes it didn't really bother me. These two fit together so perfectly and their story made me feel all the things. Although, I got to say all the secrecy in this book bothered me a little bit mostly because I found the reason they were keeping their relationship a secret kind of dumb. But other than that I loved everything about this book. I especially loved the way that the author continued the stories of previous couples in this series in this book. It made my romance obsessed self very happy and it made me love this book all the more. Overall, this book was absolutely amazing as I already stated at the beginning of this review and as of right now it is definitely tied for my favorite A.J. Pine book along with Six Month Rule!

I had never heard of Victoria Davies before, but the blurb sounded like something I would love so I gave it a chance and I got to say I really enjoyed this book. The story is a very straightforward falling in love with the boss romance, which is a trope that I love, so naturally this book worked for me. That along with a likable heroine, a hot alpha male hero, and wedding planning drama made this book a win for me. Granted Darian, was really infuriating at times, but I never once doubted that he loved Allison and that is what was most important to me, so I was able to get passed him being hardheaded. To be fair, Allison was also a little hardheaded at times, but despite both of their faults these two fit together perfectly and I thoroughly enjoyed watching them fall in love. Overall, I really liked this book and I can't wait to read more by this new-to-me author!

***MY REVIEW***

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

4 out of 5 stars

This book was a really good contemporary romance read. It was steamy enough to make me happy without being too much, the romance was developed really well so that when I got to the end I believed that Drago and Chase were meant to be together without a doubt, and I absolutely loved the heroine in this book. She was independent and driven, and I loved how committed she was to launching the hotel, but wasn't willing to make it happen at the cost of others. The only complaint I had with this book and it's why it got 4 stars instead of 5 was that I had some issues with Drago. I mean I still liked his character and by the end of the book I was fully aboard the Drago train, but he took some getting used to. But that aside this book was wonderful. The book is kind of a blend of the enemies to lovers and the workplace romance tropes and all in all it was a lot of fun to read. I highly recommend it!

ARC Review: Too Wild To Tame by Tessa Bailey

Title: Too Wild to Tame

Author: Tessa Bailey

Synopsis:

Sometimes you just can't resist playing with fire . . .

By day, Aaron Clarkson suits up, shakes hands, and acts the perfect gentleman. But at night, behind bedroom doors, the tie comes off and the real Aaron comes out to play. That's easier said than done when he meets the senator's daughter, who's wild, gorgeous, and 100 percent trouble.

Grace Pendleton is the black sheep of her conservative family. Yet while Aaron's presence reminds her of a past she'd rather forget, something in his eyes keeps drawing her in. Maybe it's the way his voice turns her molten. Or maybe it's because deep down inside, the ultra-smooth, polished Aaron Clarkson might be more than even Grace can handle . . .

***MY REVIEW***

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5 out of 5 stars

I love, love, loved this book, but given how much I have loved this author's others books that is not really a surprise. Tessa Bailey once again delivered a fun, emotional, and steamy romance with the second book in her Romancing the Clarksons series. Aaron and Grace's love story was even better than the previous couple's. This was mostly due to the fact that I loved Aaron and Grace so much more than them. In fact I ended up loving Grace and Aaron more than every other coupleI have read about in Tessa Bailey's books! Grace was my favorite type of heroine to read in a romance with her wild child personality and big heart. As for Aaron, he completely stole my heart in this book. I was kind of on the fence about him in the previous book, but in this book we get to see a whole other side of him that I really loved. On top of a great characters, the romance in this book was everything! It was steamy and intense and sweet and heartwarming. These two together just made me so happy. But romance aside, what I loved the most in this book was getting to see the Clarkson siblings's relationship with each other develop some more. Their relationship has so many layers and we still don't know the whole history behind all of their issues, so getting to see things unfold slowly between them is really intriguing. Anywho, overall this book was Tessa Bailey at her best and I'm still not over how flawless it was even though it's been a little over a month since I have read it.

ARC Review: Roman Crazy by Alice Clayton and Nina Bocci

Title: Roman Crazy

Author: Alice Clayton and Nina Bocci

Synopsis:

A delicious, sexy, laugh-out-loud modern romance about a newly single woman and her journey to find love again, from New York Times bestselling author Alice Clayton and debut author Nina Bocci.

Avery Bardot steps off the plane in Rome, looking for a fresh start. She’s left behind a soon-to-be ex-husband in Boston and plans to spend the summer with her best friend Daisy, licking her wounds—and perhaps a gelato or two. But when her American-expat friend throws her a welcome party on her first night, Avery’s thrown for a loop when she sees a man she never thought she’d see again: Italian architect Marcello Bianchi.

Marcello was the man—the one who got away. And now her past is colliding with her present, a present where she should be mourning the loss of her marriage and—hey, that fettuccine is delicious! And so is Marcello…

Slipping easily into the good life of summertime in Rome, Avery spends her days exploring a city that makes art historians swoon, and her nights swooning over her unexpected what was old is new again romance. It’s heady, it’s fevered, it’s wanton, and it’s crazy. But could this really be her new life? Or is it just a temporary reprieve before returning to the land of twin-set cardigans and crustless sandwiches?

A celebration of great friendship, passionate romance, and wonderful food, Roman Crazy is a lighthearted story of second chances and living life to the fullest.

5 out of 5 stars

This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and it so did not disappoint. This book was absolutely wonderful. The story was second chance romances at it's best and I loved it so much! The romance between Avery and Marcello was one of those romances that just gets under your skin to the point that even after you are done reading you still can't get it out of your head. But while I really loved this book, I did have some issues with some of the things that happened. I won't go into them because I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, but I will say this, the things I had issues with actually made the story all the more better for me because it showed that on top of being sweet and romantic that relationships can also be hard and messy. Things were complicated between Avery and Marcello given what happened between them in the past, but at the end of it everything they go through is worth it and leads to a glorious HEA. But while this book had it's emotional moments, at its core it's a romantic comedy and that is what I loved the most. All those humorous moments balance out the story remarkably well and make the story fun and flirty, which was exactly what I wanted from the moment this book was announced. Anywho, overall, I really, really loved this book! It was such a perfect contemporary romance and I really hope these authors write more books together because I need more of their combined awesomeness.

ARC Review: Breaking Him by Sherilee Gray

Title: Breaking Him

Author: Sherilee Gray

Synopsis:

She’ll give him her complete surrender.

Folks in town call him a monster—say he’s dangerous. But I know him simply as Elijah Hays, the quiet, gentle giant who works with the horses on my ranch. I can feel him watching me, that steady intense gaze making me crave things I don’t quite understand, burn in a way that frightens me. He’s always kept his distance…until that night.

I remember him coming to my rescue, me following him into the barn, giving him his first taste of a woman, and his inexperienced yet barely reined touch turning me to ash.

Now all I can think about is exposing the dark desire I see deep inside him—having him turn those dark desires on me. That low, gritty voice rasping orders in my ear. Those huge, rough hands holding me down when a storm blows in.

I want his surrender. His control. I want to break him…and have him break me…

5 out of 5 stars

Breaking Him was an absolutely phenomenal romance. Everything about it from the hero to the heroine to the steamy romance and the overall story was absolutely perfect! It was like this book was absolutely made for me with how much I loved it. The only complaint that I had was that the book ended because I really wanted so much more of Eli and Abi. Seriously, this book was phenomenal in every way and while it has been a little while since I read it in early September I still can't get it out of my head and I feel like that is going to be the case for a while.

5 out of 5 stars

Playing It Cool, the second book in Amy Andrew's Sydney Smoke Rugby series, was a really great romance! While I had liked the first book in this series, I absolutely loved this book. Dex and Harper had my full attention the entire time I was reading. I read a lot of romance novels and fall in love with a lot of couples, but Dex and Harper really stood out to me which was really impressive. They were both such great characters. They weren't perfect, but they were real and I couldn't get enough of them. On top of great characters, the romance in this novel was really on point. It was the perfect blend of sweet and steamy and I just really loved the message of body positivity that that came out of their relationship since Harper is on the curvier side. And honestly that was the highlight of the book for me. All of that paired with a perfect HEA made this book an absolute win for me and has put this author on my auto-buy list!

5 out of 5 stars

Getting Dirty with the CEO, the third book in Mia Sosa's Suits Undone series was another great contemporary romance by this amazing author. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but that's not a bad thing because it was a hundred times better than I was expecting it to be. Mimi and Daniel might just be my favorite couple by this author now, which is honestly quite impressive since they spent the majority of the book as "just friends". But it is because of that that this relationship was so wonderful. The connection between these two was more than just sexual. These two were perfect in every single way and that made following their journey from barely being able to stand each other to being in love all the more worthwhile. And when you pair the awesome love story with all the other drama in this book including glimpses into past couples that had me all giddy you basically have the perfect romance and that is why Mia Sosa is one of my auto-buy authors!

About the Author:

She dreamed of writing romance, but somehow ended up a software analyst instead.

Fortunately, a few years and a few careers later, Anna found her way back to writing the stories she loves and won the Romance Writers of America’s Golden Heart®. She lives in Maryland with her husband and three children, who try valiantly not to roll their eyes whenever she quotes Jane Austen. Other weaknesses include reality TV, cute shoes, and coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.

5 out of 5 stars

I had been excited for My Brown-Eyed Earl since it was first announced and I was right to be because this book was a phenomenal historical romance! The story was everything I wanted it to be and so much more. I couldn't get enough of Meg and Will and their romance for many reasons. First off, Meg was just a great heroine to follow. She was feisty and independent. And while she was stubborn and quick to jump to conclusions at times she was still very likable and I loved her so much! Secondly, Will was EVERYTHING! He was the type of hero that makes me love historical romance novels as much as I do. The perfect blend of good and bad. Thirdly, the twins were absolutely wonderful. Anyone who knows me knows I have a love/hate relationship with children in romance novels, but when it came to Diana and Valerie I just loved them so much! They were absolutely adorable and it was really heartwarming to see the little family that formed with Will, Meg and the twins throughout the novel. Lastly, I loved the way the author balanced all the romantic drama and other drama going on this book with all the adorable, humorous scenes in the book. It really made this book the perfect read and right now this book is tied with The Untouchable Earl for my favorite historical romance read of the year!!

***MY REVIEW***

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

4 out of 5 stars

Make Me Stay, the first book in the Men of Gold Mountain series by Rebecca Brooks was a good steamy contemporary romance. The story was pretty predictable, but in this case that was a really good thing because that was exactly what I needed, a straightforward sexy read with likable characters. The only thing that bothered me about the book is the fact that Sam kept the fact that she was Samantha Kane from Austin as long as she did. I mean I get why she did, but at the same time it still bothered me. Aside from that, I like this book a lot. The romance depicted is essentially instalove given that everything happens over the course of a few days, but I love love stories that feature instalove because they always make me feel all the things and that was exactly the case with this book. Overall, I really enjoyed this book! It was a good start to this series and a perfect first book for me to read by this author because now I really want to read more by her.
