About the Author:

Growing up in the cold, wet, north of England, Nina Croft spent a lot of time dreaming of faraway sunnier places and ponies. When she discovered both, along with a whole load of other things, could be found between the covers of a book, her life changed forever.

Later, she headed south, picked up the perfect husband along the way, and together they volunteered to work in Africa. There they discovered a love of exotic places and a dislike of 9-5 work. Afterward they spent a number of years travelling (whenever possible) intermingled with working (whenever necessary.) Eventually they stumbled upon a remote area in the mountains of southern Spain and the small almond farm they now call home.

Nina spends her days reading, writing and riding her mare, Gencianna, under the blue Spanish skies—sunshine and ponies. She reckons this is proof that dreams really can come true if you want them enough.

MY REVIEW

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5 out of 5 stars

Blackmailing the Bad Girl, the second Cutting Loose romance by Nina Croft, was even better than the first book! I really loved Nik and Summer's romance! Like with any Nina Croft novel it was over the top hot, but at the same time this book wasn't just sexy times. There's some substance to the romance that develops between these two. And talking about the way that their romance develops, I love the way the relationship began with them meeting at night with him not knowing she's a thief and her not knowing that he was the CEO of the company she was trying to rob. It made the romance all the more entertaining and it also made me understand where Nik was coming from in his blackmailing of Summer. Usually I get angry at the guys in romance novels when they are being vindictive, but in Nik's case I was totally on his side. But while I was on Nik's side, I also really liked Summer's character and I understood her reasons for doing what she did as well. In the end, both characters were wronged and did bad things to get revenge and that and the way they both came to terms with their past, moved on, and fell in love is what made this book so enjoyable for me! While it doesn't seem like it at first, this book is a really wonderful second chance romance and I loved it so much.

EXCERPT FROM THE KNOCKED UP PLAN

Yanking open the door, I head inside. I stride to the small cafe where Ryder said he’d wait for me.

My chest falls. The man is known for punctuality. I scan the white bakery case and the five round iron tables, but he’s not here. When I spin around and survey the bookshelves, my heart nearly leaps from my chest.

He’s in the . . .

Oh my fucking God, he’s waiting for me in the . . .

I bring my hand to my mouth, and I want to run, to leap into his arms. When he sees me, his blue eyes twinkle with mischief.

I am a teapot about to whistle. I am a dog dancing before dinnertime.

He taps the shelves and holds up a book.

A pregnancy guide.

He’s ten feet from me. But I sprint anyway, and I grin like a fool. I stop two inches from him and clamp my hands on his broad shoulders. “Is that a yes?”

“Yes—”

I tackle-hug him before he can say anything more. I knock the breath from him in an oomph as I rope my arms around his neck and crash into him.

“But I have one condition,” he says, embracing me back.

I’m crying tears of happiness, so I don’t care. “Anything. Name it.”

“You better hear it before you agree.”

The moment screeches to a halt. He’s going to want visitation rights. He’ll want lots of money. He’ll want summers, or weekends, or evenings out.

I unwrap myself from the warmth of his strong chest and swallow. “What’s your condition?”

“I thought it would be best to present it in the form of a column.”

“A column?”

“Top five list and everything.”

I groan inside. He has five conditions? Maybe my mother was right. Maybe asking for baby-mix from someone you know is a big mistake. Anonymous donors request nothing but greenbacks.

I steel myself as he fishes in the back pocket of his jeans. The paper is square, folded in quarters. He hands it to me. “Open it.”

I unfold it then read the headline out loud. “‘Top Five Positions for Getting a Woman Pregnant’?”

I blink and stare at him. The cogs turn slowly in my brain. I part my lips to speak.

He raises a hand to silence me. “Hear me out. You explained how it worked. The room, the cup, the magazines, the videos. The whacking off in a fucking public place. The cost. But most of all . . . the wait. You’d have to wait for an appointment for me, for the testing, for the jerking off, then for your special date with the turkey baster.” He cups my cheek. His hand is big and warm. “What if we did it the old-fashioned way?”

MY REVIEW

5 out of 5 stars

Last year Katie Ruggle became my favorite romantic suspense author with the publication of her Search and Rescue series and with Run to Ground, the first book in her new series it seems like she's going to be my favorite romantic suspense author this year as well because this book was amazing! This book was everything I love about romantic suspense novels. The plot was thrilling and the threat against the characters wasn't too obvious or too difficult to figure out in the end. Basically, it was the Goldilocks of mysteries. But what I loved most about this book is that on top of just being an excellent romantic suspense story it was all an extremely sweet love story. And the sweetness in this book didn't only extend to the wonderful romance, but also to the family relationship between Jules and her younger siblings as well as to the strained relationship between Theo and his K9 partner. It really rounded out this story for me. And while Gone to Deep is still my favorite of Katie Ruggle's books, this novel is definitely a very close second favorite!

MY REVIEW

5 out of 5 stars

Fighting Attraction is the first book I've read by Sarah Castille and it has me kicking myself for not trying out this author sooner! I loved everything about this book. The main couple, the secondary characters, the sizzling love story. All of it was absolutely amazing and I couldn't get enough of this author's writing. But what I loved most about this book was that it's about MMA fighters. It's been a really long time since I've read a book with an MMA fighter and this book has renewed my love for that type of hero because they are always so intense and that intensity always gets my blood pumping and has me on the edge of my seat dying to find out how everything is going to turn out. And that is exactly how I felt the entire time I was reading this book. On top of an intense hero, the romance in this book was off the charts hot! I knew this book was going to be steamy with it's BDSM plot, but it actually ended up being even hotter than I was already expecting it to be. The one thing I will say about this book that threw me off and still does is the fact that this book just has so many characters. It's the fourth book in a series so it's to be expected, but I found it more difficult than normal to keep all the characters straight in my head. Other than that this book was great and with it Sarah Castille has become a go-to author for me! I, of course, really recommend this romance!

REVIEW: Reckless Hearts by Heather Van Fleet

Synopsis:

Between boot camp and two TOD’s in Iraq, my buddies Max, Gavin and me have been through some serious hell. So the last thing I ever expected was to find the biggest challenge of my life back home.

But she left me a gift. The best and scariest one I could’ve ever asked for. One I didn’t think I could handle…until the day I saw her tiny blues looking up at me in that airport. Chloe.

Now here I am, raising my baby girl—with the help of my two best friends. Things couldn’t be better. Until she walked into my life.

All I wanted was a nanny. Someone to take care of my girl when I couldn’t. What I didn’t count on was Addison, the brown-eyed temptress with a body of sin, and everything I didn’t need, but suddenly wanted.

MY REVIEW

5 out of 5 stars

Saying that I loved this book is an understatement. It's been months since I read this book back in February and I still can't stop thinking about it. Seriously, Reckless Hearts was an absolutely flawless contemporary romance. Everything about this book absolutely worked for me. First off, Collin was a fantastic hero. Single dads in romances always get to me and Collin is by far my favorite single dad in romance. Secondly, Addison was the perfect heroine to pair up with someone like Collin. And then we have Chloe who was absolutely adorable. I always love babies in romance books because watching the adults interact with them is always entertaining and when it came to the Collin and his friends interacting with baby Chloe it was extra wonderful. The romance in this book was everything! I really enjoyed the way the relationship between Collin and Addison developed from beginning to end. Their romance was sweet with just the right amount of sexy and I couldn't get enough of them together. Overall, this book was absolutely amazing and I absolutely cannot wait for Max and Gavin's stories! In the meantime, I'm going to be rereading this book again and again.

REVIEW: Sinful Temptaion by London Hale

Synopsis:

She’s too sinful to resist
I escaped my hometown the second I could, only to be brought back by my late grandmother’s will. The Christian bookstore and tea shop she bequeathed to me was the perfect place to open the island’s only adult toy store. Being across the street from a church is a bonus. Even better? The new to town, hot as sin pastor I’d love nothing more than to sully. Pastor Noah may be off-limits, but that won’t stop me from tempting him.

He could lose it all if he gives in
Sin is my greatest obsession and my congregation’s biggest distraction. Harper—the owner of the aptly named adult store—is too forward, too overtly sexual for such a quiet island town, which is why I can’t keep my eyes off her. One chance encounter, one moment of surrender, and my fate is sealed. No amount of praying will absolve me of these sins.

MY REVIEW

5 out of 5 stars

Sinful Temptation was another amazing read by the duo that makes up London Hale. I don't know how these ladies do it, but they have once again delivered a flawless steamy novella with a forbidden love storyline that had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The whole small town pastor and the sex shop owner getting together really worked for me. Harper was one of my favorite secondary characters in the previous book, so it brought me joy to have her find love like her friends and having it be with the pastor of the church across the street from her shop was perfect. And like always with London Hale books I loved that while this story was raunchy and taboo that there was also some emotional depth to the romance between Harper and Noah. It wasn't just sex between these two. They genuinely cared for each other and I loved that Noah was never embarrassed to be with Harper even though many of the people of his church were judgmental. That really made this book for me and like always I couldn't get enough of this book! Now to impatiently wait for the next Temperance Falls book!

MY REVIEW

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5 out of 5 stars

Can't Let Go, the fifth novel in Molly McLain's River Bend series was another great contemporary romance by this author. It's been a while since I've ventured into the world of River Bend, so reading this book and seeing what all the previous characters were up to while also finally getting to see Reed finally get his own HEA made this book extra wonderful to read. Like I did with most of Molly's other books I laughed, I cried, and felt a multitude of other emotions while reading this book and in the end I was extremely satisfied with how this author decided to go about this love story. Reed was my least favorite character in previous books, but that also made him the character I most wanted to read about and Molly of course did not disappoint me with his story. I especially loved the heroine that he was paired with. Mia was so fierce and independent, but she also had a big heart when it came down to it and that made me love her so much! I also loved that there was history between these two and I loved the way that history both created challenges for their relationship as well as made it possible for them to finally be together. All-in-all this book was absolutely amazing and while the author made us wait forever for this book, it was definitely worth the wait!

MY REVIEW

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5 out of 5 stars

Three Weeks with a Princess, the second Improper Princesses novel, was a another fun historical romance by Vanessa Kelly and I loved this book so much. I loved almost everything about this book especially the characters because Jack and Lia and their family and friends are really what made this book as amazing as it was. They were all so entertaining to read about because these characters especially Lia's extended family really had a habit of finding themselves in scandalous situations. But getting back to Lia and Jack they were amazing all on their own and I especially loved how their relationship developed in this book. They were both incredibly stubborn characters, but it was always obvious that they were perfect for each other whether they were ready to admit it or not. I also really enjoyed reading about all the other things going around Lia and Jack from the scandalous history between the Notorious Kincaids and Jack's family to that nasty, unfortunate situation with Sir Nathan. All of it had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish and it was topped off with a remarkably sweet HEA. Overall, this book was extremely enjoyable and I highly recommend it!

MY REVIEWS

I received copies of these books in exchange for honest reviews.

SOMEBODY LIKE YOU

5 out of 5 stars

Somebody Like You, the first Maverick Junction novel was a great contemporary romance. The whole rich city girl falling for the country guy is a story that I have read many times before, but Lynnette Austin took the popular trope and made it stand out from the crowd in this extremely memorable and satisfying romance. I absolutely loved this book! It was such a flawless love story and I couldn't get enough of Cash and Annie. Everything about how their romance developed was absolutely wonderful. I loved all the back and forth between these two as well as all the sweet, adorable moments. I also really loved that this book didn't turn into a marriage of convenience story given Cash's situation. While I do love that trope, I really enjoyed that that was not the case with Cash and Annie. When it came to these two finally getting together it was because they loved each other and not for any other reason and that is what really made this romance for me. Another thing that I really loved about this book was all the family drama. Some of it felt kind of like I was watching a soap opera, but it was all so entertaining. Overall, I enjoyed this book so much and with this book Lynnette Austin has become a go to author for me.

NEAREST THING TO HEAVEN

5 out of 5 stars

Nearest Thing to Heaven, the second Maverick Junction novel was even more amazing than the first book. When we first met Ty in the previous book I immediately fell in love with him because single dads are my absolute favorite type of hero in a romance novel, but that's not the only reason I absolutely loved this book. While Ty was great, I also really loved Sophie, she was quirky and so very likable. But what I loved most about this book were the triplets. Jonah, Jesse, and Josh were absolutely adorable and all the scenes in which we get to see the way Ty was with then and also the way Sophie was with with them absolutely made this book for me! Then on top of all that cuteness, the romance in this book really was on point. It made me feel all the feelings which is always the goal for me when I'm reading a romance. The only thing I didn't absolutely love about this book was the part concerning Sophie's possessive ex. I didn't really find that part necessary and the book would have been the same without those scenes, so it just didn't work for me. But other than that I loved this book! It was a phenomenal heartfelt romance and I highly recommend it!

TEASER REVEAL: Comeback Cowboy by Sara Richardson

Synopsis:

A WOMAN NEVER FORGETS HER FIRST COWBOY . . .

As a single mother, Naomi Sullivan is used to doing things on her own. She's finally saved enough from working at the Cortez Ranch to buy a lovely home for her and her little girl. Life is going as planned. But when her high school sweetheart comes riding back to town, this self-sufficient woman feels something she hasn't felt in years: red-hot, unbridled need for the handsome cowboy who left her behind.

Lucas Cortez doesn't plan on being in town long. Yet when he sees Naomi again-the gorgeous girl he never stopped loving-he's tempted to hang up his hat and stay awhile. He's already charmed his way into her daughter's heart, but he'll need more than sweet talk and roses to convince Naomi to give them a second chance-especially when she's hiding a secret that could change their lives forever . . .

EXCERPT

“I’m so sorry, Naomi.” For whatever reason, her heart had opened to him. Maybe only a crack, but that was all he needed. He stepped closer to her, so that her body was pressed against his. Out in the parking lot, a line of headlights moseyed out to the road, but he didn’t care. He didn’t know when he’d have this chance again. So he took her into his arms because he couldn’t wait. Couldn’t analyze. He had to see. He had to feel her. Had to know she was as desperate as he was.

“Lucas…” she whispered, closing her eyes.

He rested his hands on her hips, urging her closer. “I need to know you don’t hate me,” he said, drowning in the feel of her. His hands slipped down low on her back, until he had her locked in his arms.

“I don’t hate you,” she squeaked. “God, I don’t hate you at all.”

That was all he needed. Holding her tightly in his arms, he lowered his mouth to hers, unable to stop himself, unable to hold back anything. Her lips tasted sweet, so warm and wet. He pressed into them, drinking in the scent of her, the feel of her curves fit so tightly against his throbbing body.

She kissed him back, sighing deeply into his mouth as though letting go of her protests and hesitations.

His tongue sought hers, rekindling that connection they’d always had, electrifying everything else until the sparks of desire flashed all through him.

Her soft moan purred into him as her lips clung to his, and those hands of hers, always delicate but strong, climbed their way down his chest. He’d never regretted walking away from her as much as he did now, gripped by this one small taste of how it could’ve been with her…

About the Author:

Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans and laptop, driving cross-country to New York City in under four days.

Her most valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees, a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention.

She now lives in Long Island, New York with her husband of eight years and four-year-old daughter. Although she is severely sleep-deprived, she is incredibly happy to be living her dream of writing about people falling in love.

5 out of 5 stars

Once again Tessa Bailey has proven that she is physically incapable of writing something I will not love! Too Close to Call, a novella in my favorite Romancing the Clarkson series, was such an amazing sweet and sexy read. From the moment we met Kyler in the previous book in this series, I was already itching to read more about him, so I was happy that we got his story in this novella. The story is short and quick because it's a novella, but it is still extremely satisfying and given the background between Kyler and the heroine, Bree, you never doubt their love for each other. From the very moment Kyler first mentions Bree at the very beginning of the book I was rooting for this couple to get through their issues and finally get their HEA because I could see just how perfect they were for each other in every way. Their love story was equal part sweet and steamy and I couldn't get enough of these two. I love this book to pieces and highly recommend it!

MY REVIEW

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

4 out of 5 stars

I really liked Falling For the Fake Fiance. Jennifer Blackwood's second Snowpocalypse novel was a fun and sexy contemporary romance and exactly what I have come to expect from this author. I loved the characters a lot and I especially loved the bit of history between these two. It made the fake fiance storyline all the more interesting. Although talking about the fake fiance storyline in this book, I did find it a bit ridiculous that these two really thought they were going to be able to keep their fake marriage a secret. Other than that this romance was wonderful. Jill and Aaron were perfect together and I really loved their love story in this book. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and really wish Jennifer Blackwood would write more snowpocalypse books because these snow storms make for some really good, steamy romances and I need more!

BLOG TOUR: The Wrong Kind of Compatible by Kadie Scott

Synopsis:

Data analyst Cassie Howard may be brilliant (and, okay, a little awkward), but she’s worked hard to get where she is. She definitely doesn’t need some sexy new analyst coming in and taking credit for her work. Or the inappropriate thoughts that keep popping out of her mouth she’d rather he not hear.

For undercover FBI agent Drew Kerrigan, computers have always made more sense than people, but he’d better develop some slick social skills in a hurry if he’s going to win over the too-tantalizing-for-his-sanity Cassie. Hacking their systems was easy. Now he’s just got to hack the one person in the company most likely to see through his ruse…

4 out of 5 stars

The Wrong Kind of Compatible was a fun contemporary romance. I really enjoyed the premise of this book and the way in which the relationship between Cassie and Drew developed. They were both so awkward and adorable and I love it. The only thing that I didn't like about this book and it's why this was a 4 star read for as opposed to 5 was that all the data analyst stuff really confused me and I never 100% understood why the FBI was investigating Data Minds or what was the big problem. But other than that I loved this book! The romance was cute and heartfelt and extremely entertaining. All in all this book was a win for me and I look forward to reading more by this author in the future.

BLOG TOUR: House Rules by Cathryn Fox

Synopsis:

The last thing I expected to fine in my dossier was sexy stockings, a plane voucher to London and an invitation to dance at a gentleman’s club. I’m a quiet museum curator for God’s sake. No way, no how am I going to slide down a pole for a bunch of over privileged, narcissistic men—until I see Sean Fraser, my childhood crush, enter the establishment. Since I’m no longer that overweight teen with braces and mousey hair, there is no way he’ll recognize me. Hmmm… Maybe I’ll give him a fake name—and a private dance. That ought to make him finally notice me, right?

What the hell is Kennedy Lane doing sliding down a pole in a private Gentlemen’s club? I’m not sure, and while I know she’s hands off, I want her. I’ve always wanted her. She might have been too young for me back in the day. Now, not so much. Hands off leads to hands on after a private dance, and while Kennedy spends the weekend pretending to be someone she isn’t, I know full well who she is. And I’m not quite ready to let her hand up her stockings when the show is over.

5 out of 5 stars

I can never pass up a Cathryn Fox book and excellent sexy and short novellas like this one are the perfect example as to why. I loved this novella so much! It was everything I've come to expect from a Cathryn Fox book and then some. And what I especially loved about this book is that while it's extremely short in length it wasn't lacking in the romance and emotions. This book was just as satisfying as the longer books I have read by Cathryn Fox and I can't wait for the other books in this series because the premise was so much fun!

MY REVIEW

4 out of 5 stars

His Accidental Heir was another good romance by Joanne Rock. Cameron wasn't my favorite of the McNeill brothers, but he was still a lot of fun to read about. I also really liked Maresa. She was an interesting heroine and I really loved how hard-working and dedicated to her family she was. It really made her perfect for Cameron and I really enjoyed their love story. But while I really liked this book, I did have some issues with it the biggest being that I really wished that this book had been more focused on Cameron and Maresa's marriage arrangement because that is what I was expecting from the blurb of this book. And also while this might be a spoiler for people who haven't read the previous book in this series I really wish we would have gotten a chance to meet the other McNeill brothers in this book. Other than that this was a really nice contemporary romance and I really recommend it.

MY REVIEW

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5 out of 5 stars

I really enjoyed The Mistaken Billionaire, the second book in Lexxie Couper's Muse series. I always have mixed feeling when I read a romance where one of the main characters is lying about their identity to the other, but the author executed the plot perfectly and the fact that Mila didn't tell Thomas who she was for the majority of the book wasn't annoying or overdone because from the very beginning when it came to their relationship who Mila really was never mattered to Thomas. All he cared about was Mila and who she was as a person and how she made him better and the fact that he ultimately didn't mind not knowing her last name really sold their love for me. And that in turn really sold this book for me as a whole. Overall, this book was an almost perfect romance and I loved it so much! I really recommend it!
