REVIEW: Daddy's Best Friend by London Hale

Synopsis:

She’s temptation personified

Nathan had always been more than just my dad’s friend. I never thought he’d see me as an adult, especially not after avoiding me for so long. But one hug, one moment feeling every inch of him against me, shattered that illusion. Consequences no longer mattered—I was eighteen, and I was willing to risk everything for my shot with him.

He’s not going to resist anymore

I never should’ve seen Eve as more than my best friend’s daughter. As a cop, I knew it was wrong. It was my job to protect her from guys like me. Chasing her could cost me my career—not to mention the only family I’d ever known—but I couldn’t hold back another second. One taste, and I wanted her. To hell with the fallout.

MY REVIEW

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5 out of 5 stars

Daddy's Best Friend is the first book written by London Hale, the combined pen name of Bright Walsh and Ellis Leigh and I got to say that these two women should have gotten together to write a lot sooner because this erotic novella was absolutely amazing! Daddy's Best Friend was everything I was expecting it to be when it was first announced and then some and I loved it so much!

Like expected this book was off the charts hot! I prefer steamy romances to sweet romances more often than not and I also can't get enough of taboo romances so this book was pretty much the perfect read for me. However, on top of just being an extremely steamy romance, I also found that the relationship between Nathan and Eve was quite sweet. Their relationship wasn't just sex, these two truly cared about each other and that made this book all the more satisfying. And in regards to Nathan and Eve, they were both great characters. Alpha male heroes are always my favorite in the romances I read and that really was Nathan. As for Eve, I loved that she was a go-getter. She knew what she wanted and didn't hesitate to go after it and I was really with her when it came to that attitude. I also loved the other characters in this book, Eve's dad and her best friend. They were just as entertaining to read about when they were on the page as Nathan and Eve.

Overall, this book was fantastic in every way. With just this book, I can tell that all the books these two publish as London Hale are going to be must-reads for me and needless to say I really recommend this book and can't wait for the next book!
