ARC Review: Sweetest Regret by Meredith Duran

Title: Sweetest Regret

Author: Meredith Duran

Synopsis:

The spirit of the season is festive—and clouding even the sharpest of judgments—in this Victorian era romance, perfect for fans of Jude Deveraux and Sabrina Jeffries.

At a house party in the countryside, the joyful spirit of the Christmas season threatens to sweep Georgiana Trent under the mistletoe—and back into the arms of the dashing rogue who broke her heart two years ago. Little does she know that Lucas Godwin has no intention of leaving until he has reclaimed her as his own.

***MY REVIEW***

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5 out of 5 stars

This lovely holiday historical romance novella was the perfect way for me to introduce myself to Meredith Duran's writing. This book was absolutely wonderful. I already loved holiday romances in general, but a holiday romance set in a historical setting is even better. Plus, I loved that on top of being a holiday romance that this book was a second chance romance. Second chance romances are always the most satisfying type of romance because their really isn't anything better than two people reuniting and getting a another chance at a happily ever after and with this sweet short story Meredith Duran delivered an exception second chance romance. I now can't wait to get my hands on this author's other books because if she managed to make me love a novella as much as I loved Sweetest Regret, imagine what she could deliver with a full-length book.
