ARC Review: Daring Fate by Megan Erickson

Title: Daring Fate

Author: Megan Erickson

Synopsis:

We all have tragic backstories in today’s world...

I wake up chained to the wall of a dark cell aware of two things: I failed my sister, and I smell my enemy.

When I’m taken to meet Dare, the alpha of the Silver Tip pack, I’m sure I’m about to lose my throat. The last thing I expect is for the Alpha to recognize me as his fated mate. No way is he going to let me go now, and I still have to find a way to rescue my sister.

As I plot my escape to save her, I find that if I leave, Dare could be killed by power-hungry members of his pack. And now he’s more to me than my fated mate—my heart is involved. With time ticking by on my sister’s life, I have to make a choice I never thought I’d face—my sister’s life or my mate’s? That’s if I can survive the undead shifters intent on killing me first…

***MY REVIEW***

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5 out of 5 stars

I have been a diehard fan of Megan Erickson for years now and with this book, she has pretty much proven that she can write just about anything and have me love it. This book was such a great m/m paranormal romance read. I used to read a lot of paranormal romance when I first started reading romance novels, so I have read some really great paranormal romance heroes and both Dare and Reese are both up there with my other faves. The romance in this book was also really good. Reese and Dare's relationship had that intense almost desperate feel to it that I really love in my paranormal romances, so of course I really enjoyed the romance in this book so much. As for the other conflicts in this book regarding Reese trying to save his sister and Dare having to deal with his cousin trying to kill him and take over his pack, I really enjoyed those aspects of the story as well. They kept me on the edge of my seat and balanced out the romance perfectly. Overall, I loved this book so much! It was another amazing book by one of my go-to favorite romance authors and I can't wait to see what's up next!
