ARC Review: Engaging the Bachelor by Cathryn Fox

Title: Engaging the Bachelor

Author: Cathryn Fox

Synopsis:

Pretending to date this doctor is a prescription for trouble…

Hot, Southampton doctor, Carson Reynolds isn’t the kind of man Gemma Carr should be playing with. But his offer of a fake engagement comes with sexy, late night house calls, and despite her bad girl reputation, it’s been far too long since she’s taken two and called anyone in the morning.

When Carson sees Gemma at a charity event, he knows he has to have her. It’s been ten years since he’s had her in his arms, but that hasn’t lessened his intense need for her. To save her reputation and get his parents off his back, he makes her an offer she can’t refuse.

It’s the perfect set-up–until this fake engagement starts to feel a little too real…

***MY REVIEW***

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

4 out of 5 stars

Engaging the Bachelor was a super hot contemporary romance! Romances featuring fake relationships are a personal fave of mine, so it is really no surprise that I loved this book as much as I did. The story that follows a doctor and a jewelry maker was so, so good. I loved everything from the little bit of history they had together to the circumstances that caused them to fake a relationship to them actually falling in love. Out of all the aspects of this book that I loved, I loved Carson the most. His character was just so wonderful in my opinion. I also really liked Gemma a lot, but I just didn't understand some of her reasoning for the things she did as much as I wanted to. Regardless of that I really enjoyed how everything progressed in this book. It just all felt really natural when it came to their relationship which allowed me to really become emotionally invested in this romance. Overall I really loved this book. This is only the second book I've read by this author, but it has thoroughly convinced me that I need to invest in more of this author's books in the near future.
