ARC Review: A Weekend of Misbehaving by Carmen Falcone

Title: A Weekend of Misbehaving

Author: Carmen Falcone

Synopsis:

When fantasy becomes reality…

The last thing nanny Alice Sommers needs is to be caught skinny-dipping by her sexy, cranky-pants boss—in his pool. Her sister owes a crap-load of money to a slimy loan shark and Alice really needs this job if she has any hope of saving her family. Fortunately, her boss is richer than sin and needs her just as much.

Art dealer Lorenzo Baldi will lose his prestigious career if his anarchist father’s paintings are revealed to the art world. He’s determined to persuade the paintings’ eccentric owner to sell them to him, even if to pull it off, he’ll have to blackmail his daughter’s nanny—a woman with the sexy curves of a Botticelli masterpiece—into being his fake fianc√©.

The gorgeous island of Capri inspires some major misbehaving. But even as the loan shark breathes down Alice’s neck and the paintings move closer to the art scene, Lorenzo drops one more bomb that will change everything.

***MY REVIEW***

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

4 out of 5 stars

A Weekend of Misbehaving is really nice and quick read. While both character were dealing with some serious issues that kept the plot interesting and moving, the book had a really flirty and lighthearted tone that I really liked.

The one thing I would have liked in this book that wasn't there was some build up to the romance. We are told from the beginning that Alice is crushing on her boss but we don't really get much from Lorenzo until they are in Capri and things get steamy really fast. On that note, the steamy sex scenes were the highlight of this book for me. I read a lot of books with explicit sex scenes and the one's in this book are definitely favorites of mine.

In regard to the plot, it was pretty straightforward. Things unravel exactly the way you expect them to without any surprises which was perfect because I was really in the mood for a romance that wasn't too busy and that is exactly what A Weekend of Misbehaving was.

Overall, I really liked this book. It was a nice and quick sweet but steamy romance and I highly recommend it.
