Review: Chasing Temptation by Joya Ryan

Title: Chasing Temptation

Author: Joya Ryan

Synopsis:

Good things come in naughty packages…

What does it take to turn a good girl bad? Sick of her interfering brother nosing into her love life―and by proxy, her sex life—Penny Diamond has decided she needs a break from her “girl next door” reputation. And she knows exactly who can help her… Tall, lean, and impossibly intense Sebastian Strafford is rumored to have a sexual appetite with a decidedly wicked flavor.
Unfortunately, he’s also her brother’s best friend.

Sebastian doesn’t do relationships. Getting involved with Penny―and giving into that carnal thirst he’s tried to ignore all these years―is just about the worst idea ever. But he’ll be damned if she turns to anyone else for her “education.” So Sebastian makes her a deal: just two weeks to indulge in every sensual sin imaginable. Now he just has to keep himself from falling for the good girl. Especially when she’s so deliciously bad…

***MY REVIEW***

5 out of 5 stars

After reading and loving Chasing Trouble, I couldn't resist quickly devouring Chasing Temptation and it was even better than the first book. Falling in love with the brother's best friend is one of my top favorite tropes in romance and Joya Ryan did it extremely well. Penny and Sebastian's story was crazy hot and I was hooked from the very first page.

What makes a really great Brazen romance in my opinion is a relationship between the two main characters that is hot and intense but still sweet at times and in this book the author really nailed that feeling. The romance presented was one that really left a lasting impression and was a romance that as a reader you could really get behind and root for. Plus, kudos to the author for not giving Sebastian some horrifying backstory that causes Sebastian to avoid long term relationships in the beginning. Both the hero and heroine like those of the previous installment were really normal and relatable but still compelling without being too outrageous which was really nice. I loved them.

Overall, this book was another satisfying romance in this steamy series by Joya Ryan that I see myself re-reading over and over again for years to come because it was just that good.
