Review: Stealing the Groom by Sonya Weiss

Title: Stealing the Groom

Author: Sonya Weiss

Friends don’t let friends marry the wrong woman…

Chad Walker may be a take-no-chances man with a plan, but there’s no way Amelia Snyder is going to let her best bud marry Mean Girl #1—even if the wedding is solely so he can secure the controlling shares in his family’s company. But free-spirited Amelia’s at-the-altar groomnapping scheme takes a surprising turn when she ends up as the blushing bride instead.

Suddenly, with Amelia living in her handsome husband’s home—in his bedroom, no less—she starts to reconsider their strictly platonic arrangement. But Chad’s always been strictly anti-risk and definitely anti-love, and betting a lifetime of best friendship on the chance at forever might be the biggest gamble of all.

4 out of 5 stars

This book was all kinds of adorable. Seriously, it was the cutest and I really, really liked it. On top of being one of the most adorable romances that I have ever read, Stealing the Groom was a fun and fairly unique read in my opinion. I don't think I've ever read a book in which the groom was the one getting stolen, usually it is the bride getting kidnapped not the other way around. I also really loved the idea of matchmaking grandfathers. Chad and Amelia's grandfathers were so hilarious and I loved how much they loved grandchildren even if that love caused them to be sneaky and force Chad and Amelia into a marriage among other things.

I liked a lot about this book but the best part about this book truly was the romance that developed between Chad and Amelia. It was one of those relationships that you can't help but root for because even though both Chad and Amelia were both hard-headed and resistant to falling in love, they were so perfect for each other and the way that the author got to realize that was so fitting and just made me so happy.
